How to use
Bring water and 1 tablespoon of oil to a boil over high heat in a deep saucepan. Add dal. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until dal is very soft. Add to soups, curries and stews, or enjoy with spices herbs and salads. To make a delicious dal soup, simmer dal with vegetable stock or broth, leafy greens, veggies and various exotic herbs and spices to make a satiating dish.
